In 2020, as we all know, everything pretty much shut down. This included all of the summer camps that my grandchildren were supposed to attend. So my children, who both work full-time, one as a pediatric nurse, asked me if I could take my grandkids to different places that were still open, like the zoo and the aquarium among other places. I had some free time to be able to do that so I agreed and we jokingly decided to call it Camp VooVoo, since that’s what my grandkids call me. (VooVoo is the Portuguese word for Grandfather)
Since we really had no idea where we would be going or what we would be doing, we came up with a little jingle as a silly little thing to do. You can see and hear it in the video clip below. It’s since become our official Camp VooVoo Jingle!
We really enjoyed ourselves visiting all the different places we went to and doing the different things we did and, best of all, we all learned a few new things along the way.
We decided that since we had such a good time and learned a few things in a fun way, that it would be a good idea to share that experience with others. We feel that we have created a unique way to do just that and so the Camp VooVoo show was started.
We hope that you enjoy our show as much as we have enjoyed putting it together!
